Thank you so much for this helpful information! I’m working on a blog that will be read by people in various countries. Will the links and credit work if someone, say, gets sent to the Amazon Japan store, but then transfers to the UK store and buys something there? Or would I have to guess which country stores the readers would use first, and have several links in my blog to all the various Amazon stores? How might I set this up most effectively?
If you want to find a way to be able to mention products that are on sale more frequently on your website one of the easiest ways I’ve done that in the past is to just do a weekly deals post. So what I’ll do is publish a post every week with the best deals for my niche and then incorporate all of the previous tactics I’ve discussed above to link to the products on Amazon.com. Depending on how often you publish articles you could do it more or less frequently (I’ve seen some websites do these style of articles every day).
So here, your friend doesn’t need to purchase your product first. The same things happend while you are selling online using affiliate marketing technique. I like Animoto! It is a powerful to simplify the video making process. However, there are not many pictures built in so most of the time we need to supply pictures to make a rather compelling video. Anyway, video marketing is something that I will need to focus on apart from SEO 🙂

Yes. Well, it’s a smart idea to put somewhere in your description that you might be using affiliate links, kind of like your FDC disclosure, but it’s kind of like an affiliate link disclosure. I think that’s a smart thing. Even though YouTube hasn’t come out saying you need to do that, basically you should just to be super, super safe.

YouTube channel is the best medium to showcase your products or review other brands products and direct the traffic via affiliate link attached below the video. The sales are tracked thru various tools, and in return, you earn a significant amount of income in the form of commission. Affiliate marketing thru YouTube channel is indeed the best way to make money without involving sponsored videos.
YouTube likes to keep its users on YouTube only, so you cannot add too many affiliate links in one video. For e.g., if you are providing a review for a protein powder bought from Amazon, then you will only give affiliate link of that product only. This approach makes sense and will not give an impression as if you just want to advertise those products which are not in the review. The best way is to create a separate video for each product and add an affiliate link in the description part.
Hey Amy–great informative post, here. I am going to look into a few of these and choose wisely. I want to make sure I am building a really solid readership first before bombarding people with ads, but I think your explanation was SPOT ON. Thanks for that. And much agreed on the comment above–there are some sites I don’t even BOTHER with b/c I just feel like all they do is post various links so they make a profit. Some to the point where I’m like, “wheres the CONTENT????” Even pioneer woman didn’t get to where she is if the content wasn’t there. People aren’t dumb–they can smell a scam a mile away.
The instant popularity of Meerkat, Periscope, Snapchat, and now Facebook Live serves to illustrate the importance of authentic, “off-the-cuff,” and in-the-moment content with audiences worldwide. Not surprisingly, live streaming videos on Facebook are viewed at much higher durations (3x) than non-live content (Facebook). As one of the most important engagement metrics, time spent is a strong indication of what’s important and valuable to Facebook’s 1.7 billion users.

Well, people are often a little skeptical of the information they find about a product on the merchant’s own site, assuming it’ll always paint a glowing picture. This means you have an opportunity for your blog to become the go-to destination for more even-handed information about the product, describing its positive and negative points.
Relevant websites that attract the same target audiences as the advertiser but without competing with it are potential affiliate partners as well.
