“how to make money from home when your 13 +make money online without selling anything”

When most people are scrolling through Facebook, they aren’t typically looking to buy. Delivering the message in a unique way that doesn’t necessarily look like a typical ad draws people in and makes them more likely to keep watching. Your ad should tell a story, and user and getting your story across should be prioritized over explicitly selling the product. Consider formatting the video in a way that incorporates insightful information, funny content, or news.
When I first started, my overwhelming (and totally naive) impulse was to fill my pages with words and links that screamed “BUY THIS NOW!”. I didn’t help the reader learn why they should have this product. I only wanted them to click a link which would hopefully lead to a commission for me.
In New York I believe they made an exception citing that there are too many valuable publishers in that state that they didn’t want to lose out, but yes using a registered agent in a different state is certainly one way around it 😀
Action Item: If you know your niche and want to promote a physical product do a quick google search for “product name affiliate program” or “your niche affiliate program” to get an idea of what other options are out there.
And of course, always follow your merchants’ lead. If they run major launches twice a year, for example, you can participate in those and take advantage of the natural momentum these launches often create.
You partner with the company that sells a product or service you’d like to recommend. As their partner, you are their affiliate (sometimes referred to as an associate, partner, internet marketer or affiliate marketer).
I’ve never worked directly with a manufacturer/producer. Most companies I’m aware of require you to work via their (often 3rd party-managed) affiliate program through which you can promote many or all of their products. Check out this post for a lot of affiliate programs (toward the bottom). Not sure if that answers your question.
Hi Dharmendra, Good question.. I would recommend a right combination of both paid and non paid promotion would be beneficial. But at the same time it totally depends on the niche you are working in.. Your decision depends on the niche, high commodity product, low commodity products, headonic or utilitarian aspect etc.
Don’t shoot video ads – generate them! Come up with high production value video ads exactly when the need arises – no need to wait for a video crew to arrive, editing to finish, or for huge video files to transfer.
After years of experimenting, I now look back and wish I would have started affiliate marketing through my blog sooner. It’s proven my best bet to make extra money without directly trading hours to earn it, as I would with freelancing or coaching.
Awesome article Ben, many great suggestions. I felt like you didn’t mention using video ads on Facebook though, we find that using video ads gives us a much higher ROI than image ads. Also, you don’t need a ton of time, effort or money to make a few with the online video makers out there today. For example we doubled our retargeting results by adding a video ad (made with our own video ad creation software) to our campaign.
Brands have experienced notable success by publishing Facebook videos—especially “native” Facebook videos (as opposed to links from YouTube videos, Vimeo videos, or video content published on other platforms)—according to research conducted by analytics firm eMarketer.
Building an audience for your site will, in some ways, follow naturally once you start producing excellent content. An interested audience will not only bring you consistent traffic, but also result in consistent sales for you.
Affiliate networks are nice for advertisers because the advertisers don’t have to run the affiliate program themselves. Affiliate networks are nice for publishers because it’s like one-stop shopping and they don’t have to hunt for individual programs. Of course, affiliate networks are nice for the affiliate networks because they are acting as middlemen and getting a piece of the profit pie.
Facebook’s own research found that everyone is no more than 3.5 degrees separated. This is far less than the proposed six degrees of separation originally set out by Frigyes Karinthy. As many people use Facebook to keep in touch with friends and family, it’s interesting to see how this use scenario has literally brought the world closer together.

  1. The concept of revenue sharing—paying commission for referred business—predates affiliate marketing and the Internet. The translation of the revenue share principles to mainstream e-commerce happened in November 1994,[3] almost four years after the origination of the World Wide Web.
Writing product reviews are an excellent way to enhance your credibility as an affiliate marketer. This is especially easy with information products like e-books which are relatively inexpensive. After establishing some steady income it may even be worth buying higher-end products, provided you get in touch with the product creator to work out a strategic marketing plan that takes you to the next level.
