HI Sarah! I think you would love Michelle’s course – there is ABSOLUTELY potential. (Especially if you already have seen a tiny bit of income – you obviously have a good start! You just need to expand on that 🙂 )
If you are writing online your posts should be brief, clear, checked for spelling and grammar and consistent. Your blog may not have broad appeal if it has limitations in these, so your EBooks and public posts can benefit from a professional proof-reader, or extra classes in English, whether it is your first language or not. Whether you write a blog, a book or anything else, your only tool to deliver your message is language, and you should gain all the skills you can with it. If you don’t have time for this, use the services of someone with the best language skills you can find.
Hey Amy–great informative post, here. I am going to look into a few of these and choose wisely. I want to make sure I am building a really solid readership first before bombarding people with ads, but I think your explanation was SPOT ON. Thanks for that. And much agreed on the comment above–there are some sites I don’t even BOTHER with b/c I just feel like all they do is post various links so they make a profit. Some to the point where I’m like, “wheres the CONTENT????” Even pioneer woman didn’t get to where she is if the content wasn’t there. People aren’t dumb–they can smell a scam a mile away.
Making Money on YouTube doesn’t have to be limited to Adsense Monetization. You can actually make quite a bit of money on YouTube through affiliate marketing using sites like Amazon, Ebay or Web Hosting Companies.
If someone clicks on it and buys my product I make $500 – 5 times more than I’d make for that sponsored ad. All I need is one every 5 months to make this a better option. Not only that, but it’s helping build my brand identity and reputation, rather than some random company.

A sound product strategy is a must for new affiliate marketers. Ideally, you should choose a niche that you can make money online with and has a lot of product vendors. This will give you a wide selection of products to offer your online community. However, limit yourself to two or three products at a time, so that you become the expert others turn to and trust when reaching for their wallet.
The only people I know off, who are making money, but still I have not seen an income statement to that effect and hence I am very cautious, are the people who run very large mailing lists. When you have numbers in the 25,000+ readers in your mailing list, it is very well possible to make affiliate money off them. However, having said this, there are two caveats to above statement.
Key takeaway: Ask yourself, who’s attention do I have, and how can I serve them? If you don’t have a significant following anywhere right now, what kind of content will you produce and where, to change that?

This is a very good list of programs to use. Yes you are correct about traffic and traffic is the best way to promote your affiliate link but it is not the only way. You can take your link to the customer if you know the right place to look.
CPS, also referred to as PPS (Pay Per Sale), is a low-risk, high-profit, revenue-sharing model used by marketers to lure an unlimited number of new customers to their product or service. Cost-Per-Sale pays a set commission to the affiliate marketer who refers a lead that results in a purchase. Marketers love the CPS model since they only pay a commission after they get paid first by the purchasing customer. It’s in essence free marketing and advertising since the affiliate is the one who produces the lead without any up-front cost to them. This is also why CPS payout commission percentages are so high. Incidentally, the CPS model is primarily what we focus on here at highpayingaffiliateprograms.com.
Its a numbers game for those starting out, and the odds are stacked against you. Why on earth would a person who has discovered a way or promotes a secret recipe of making $10,000s a month, share it with you for a few measly US$?
Commission Junction is another great option because it allows you to become an affiliate for countless companies that you already know about (e.g., Overstock, Office Depot, Boscov’s, and many others).
There is no charge for joining an affiliate program, however, your total cost depends on what promotion technique you are using. For example, a blog post doesn’t cost a dime, but PPC marketing, email marketing, and advertising come with various price tags.
When you’re comfortable with promotion and understand which kinds of products your readers will purchase, look into better affiliate programs. A commission of around 50% for higher-priced products or packages is not uncommon.
For example, I might find a top selling course on click bank that I actually want to buy and when I buy it I can study all of the sales pages and up sells. I’ve found that I have learned much more from doing this than any actual courses. 🙂
Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter were middle-of-the-pack finishers when it came to effectiveness. But one interesting result was that Snapchat was in last place for usage. Nearly 90% of respondents said they’d never used Snapchat’s video advertising features.
