One of the cool things about services, for instance, is that often there are recurring commissions. For instance, I make roughly 20% a month every time I refer someone to Sumo or Visual Website Optimizer – which are both services that I use religiously.
Affiliates who join YPP will benefit from a direct relationship with YouTube, while maintaining the same operational relationship with their MCN. All affiliate creators must contract with YouTube on YPP terms.
The rule of thumb for creating a website is to deliver content of the highest quality [as always], to follow the best practices in everything you do, and to win the reputation and trust of your visitors gradually. Just follow all the best modern day practices in web design, UX, and SEO, and avoid promotional tone in your content.
When people use their phones at work or any public place, they don’t want to draw attention to themselves by having sound blaring. In fact, 85% of social media video ads are defaulted to play on mute (either because of the settings applied to the ad or because of the user’s settings). It also allows brands to reach out to users who are deaf or hard of hearing.
That choice to use watch time instead of completion can muddy things a bit, since ad lengths can vary even within the same context. For example, Facebook has started testing six-second pre-roll ads in addition to its mid-roll ads that can be up to 15 seconds long. Hypothetically, if a majority of the in-stream ads Facebook serves are these six-second pre-roll spots and people always watch these non-skippable pre-rolls to completion, the watch time chart for Facebook’s non-skippable in-stream ads could look like there’s a significant viewership drop-off after the six-second mark. That could be interpreted to mean that people’s attention typically maxes out at six seconds — whether the ad is pre-roll or mid-roll and regardless of its length — when it could be more accurate to say that the ads typically max out then. Of course both could be true and likely would be if Facebook’s existing ads’ watch time is any indication. According to a Facebook spokesperson, ads’ watch time drop-offs remained roughly consistent regardless of the ads’ length; so if in-stream ad viewers were to typically tune out after six seconds, that would be as likely the case were the ad six seconds long or 15 seconds long.
Always disclose your affiliate relationship. Most visitors will probably understand that graphic ads will lead to your getting paid, but if you write a review or use an in-text link as a recommendation, you want your readers to know that may lead to compensation as well. This ensures you retain transparency and trust with your readers, but also, it’s required by the FTC’s endorsement rules.
Facebook suggests creating videos that are no longer than 15 seconds for the maximum impact. Your goal should be to deliver a quick message and then direct your viewers to platforms where they can learn more.
Meanwhile, Wyzowl noted that LinkedIn was an often overlooked video advertising channel, and one respondents said delivered results. While just 38% of marketers polled posted video content on LinkedIn, 75% of them thought it to be a successful way of reaching target audiences.
Okay, a Facebook user just watched your Video Ad. Now what? What action should follow? You need to guide them towards a specific direction, such as finding more information about your product/service at your website, liking your Facebook page, joining a contest, or anything else you have in mind.
Given the huge impact of Facebook video ads, there are still some limitations. First, The ad’s length is only 15 seconds, which might limit advertisers to convey in-depth content or complicated ideas.
It’s called affiliate marketing. And a reported 80% of brands use affiliate marketing to sell their products. You’ve probably been part of this type of online business, even if you didn’t realize it… on the customer side, anyway.
Yeah; I found myself at stage 2 and seriously thinking to revive my email marketing to help my subscribers suggesting best products they really need. This I would do in addition to my blog consultancy business that’s already going well.

Content creation: The biggest hurdle by far. You can’t just hire a $10 writer and build up a bunch of pages. You actually have to create interesting, compelling videos to get any viewers. Doesn’t help that most people aren’t comfortable before cameras.
Then, make sure the entire video remains specific — that each shot is meaningful. You can’t afford to waste a single frame. You can see both of these lessons in this video ad from Velocity Black, advertising its new members app.
She proves that by moving away from “step-by-step” and into “action-by-action”, even the newest online entrepreneurs can bypass overwhelm and self-doubt, and instead generate exciting momentum as they move closer to building a life and business they love.
Hi, Nice article. I am not sure about the process though. I can understand, finding a niche. But, when it comes to affiliate programs I get a little lost. Would I be promoting someone else’s products? If so, no problem. I know I need to research high end products with gravity, are these products ones in certain stores, or companies, etc.?? If so, do I need to get permissions to be on an affiliate program with that company? Also, if it is products with a company, then how do I offer promotions on their products since they are not mine? Thank you, Nanette Vlahusich
Great read! Question: When you talk about creating a custom audience of viewers of a specific video, does that only work for video views from your website via pixel tracking or is there a way to retarget people who viewed your first video/ ad on facebook?
